As we approach our 10 year anniversary, we celebrate all that has been and all that is to come!
As we think ahead to the end of the summer and the start of a new school year we want to invite you to join us for our 10 year anniversary and the beginning of a whole new chapter in the story of our beautiful school.
On August 9th, Natasha will be passing the torch to the new owners of Kalabash, before setting sail for her new life in the storied lands of Great Britain. It will surely be a bittersweet farewell as we say goodbye. But we also know that she is leaving us in good hands. A family of hands in fact. Sisters who have not only grown up in Bird Rock, but have been students at Kalabash since the beginning and are now teachers at our school!
We couldn’t have wished for a better legacy!
As Shyah and Wesley dream their dreams and visions for this next chapter of our school, we look forward to taking stock of the incredible journey we have sailed so far and celebrating this last decade of people, music, art and story.
The next two months will be filled with all the wonderful magic of our handmade theatre camps from the prairie lands of Africa to the Cornish coast where Natasha will direct her last play, The Mousehole Cat, before passing the torch to the Preis sisters on August 9th. It will be a celebration to remember and we hope you mark it in your calendars and join us!
Until then, we invite you to read these letters from Miss Natasha below and if you like, write back. We know she’d love to hear from you!
